Encouraging Leaders To Seek Mentors: Carolyn Flietstra

Carolyn Flietstra is the executive and strategic leader for Christian Living Service’s community services division. Her team includes the leadership of Atrio Home Care, Faith Hospice, Reliance Community Care Partners, and Trillium Institute. Carolyn is a 1985 graduate of Butterworth Hospital School of Nursing and she received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from the University of Detroit-Mercy in 1991. She worked in the Mercy Health system for fourteen years before moving to work for Holland Home’s home health division in 1999. Carolyn has extensive experience leading change and process improvement to optimize quality and financial outcomes. She has 24 years of management experience, in physician practice and community health settings. She is an active member of the National Association for Home Care and Hospice’s Finance Association. Presently, Carolyn is the Executive Vice President of Home and Community Based Services at Holland Home, a position she has held since 2012.

Carolyn is a native of Grand Rapids, Michigan. She and her husband Jack live in Hudsonville Michigan, and enjoy camping and other outdoor activities with their family and friends.
